Combining In-Person and Bootcamp Training Options!

We are a balanced trainers, teaching your dog right from wrong with a simple black and white system so your dog learns quickly with a new focus on pleasing the person on the lead (and those around them).  We encourage good decisions from your dog with high rewards.  We set them up to succeed and keep pursuing good behaviors.  

1. Puppy Fundamentals

2 Weeks  – $1000

  • Pup under 6 months are introduced to stimuli, people, safe dogs and more
  • Sit, down, come, off leash walks on our farm, group walks, jump inhibition, biting redirection, door manners, place and paws up.
  • Proper introductions to people learning social skills.
  • Desensitizing to table work, grooming, sounds, surfaces, and much more!

2. Beginner Bootcamp

3 Weeks + 2 Lessons

  • Fundamentals included
  • Your dog will be learning basic obedience and basic good behaviors.  
  • They will be proofed with distractions and taught with distance and duration as well.
  • We address specific needs for your dog making this a customizable package.
  • 2 one-hour private training sessions (in-person or virtual) at various locations.
  • Building a good citizen and dog with impulse control is part of this course.  Prepping you and your dog to become AKC Canine Good Citizens.
 

3. Behavioral & Advanced

4 weeks – $2800

  • Beginner Bootcamp included
  • Focus on the more difficult levels of behavioral concerns typically found in the dogs over a year of age.
  • Public work is increased as we are proofing your dog in those scenarios.
  • We work your dog for more distance work, higher levels of obedience, and focus.
  • 3 one-hour private training sessions (in-person or virtual) 
  • Inclusiveness to our group walks and events

Group Training Classes

Beginner Obedience

4 weeks of learning your basic obedience. All is on leash and includes: heeling, automatic sit, down, front, place, and come. This is great for dogs 5 months and older. See class schedule below.

Practice for more advanced/competitive level obedience students with constructive feedback.  Also available for Conformation run throughs.

Conformation Training

This is a Bootcamp for conformation show dog training and conditioning.   We wash and brush them regularly preparing their coat and nails, getting them use to table work, leash work in a ring simulation, and exposure to examinations. They will receive our supplement regiment also.

You may wish to plan ahead of an actual show so that they are looking their best.  We can handle your dog or prepare them to handle with a professional handler. Two weeks are required for initial enrollment.

Consultation

Schedule a time to meet for a consultation. Typical duration is about 30 minutes for this critical information gathering step and to meet your dog to find the best direction for your specific training needs.

CGC Training

We are certified CGC evaluators! This is a certification program that is designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community.

The Canine Good Citizen Program is a two-part program that stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. All dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test may receive a very nice certificate from the American Kennel Club.

You and your dog will practice the CGC exercises:

  1. Accepting a friendly stranger
  2. Sitting politely for petting
  3. Appearance & grooming
  4. Out for a walk (loose leash walking)
  5. Walking through a crowd
  6. Sit and down on command and Staying in place
  7. Coming when called,
  8. Reaction to another dog
  9. Reaction to distraction 
  10. Supervised separation. 


This class is perfect for continuing your dog’s education. You and your dog will work toward creating a better relationship while your dog learns to listen to you consistently. As you work with your dog to teach the CGC skills, you’ll discover the many benefits and joys of training your dog. Training will enhance the bond between you and your dog. FAQs

The AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy is an exciting new program designed to get dog owners and their puppies off to a good start. The AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Program is an incentive program for loving dog owners who have taken the time to take their puppies through a basic training class.

 

AKC Star Puppy LogoHow It Works:

When you complete a basic training class (taught by an AKC Approved CGC Evaluator) with your puppy (up to 1 year old) your puppy is eligible to be enrolled in the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Program.

You’ll attend any puppy or basic training class at least 6 weeks. Your instructor will administer the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy test at the end of the course. Upon passing the test, you’ll get an application to send to AKC® (additional fees for AKC) for enrollment in the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Program. All dogs are welcome to participate in the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Program including purebreds and mixed breeds.

Your puppy will receive the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Medal (for display or memento purposes; not suitable as a collar tag). You and your puppy will be listed in the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy records. In addition, so that you can continue learning, you’ll receive our AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy package that includes:

  • A beautiful, frameable certificate designating your puppy is in the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy records at AKC
  • AKC Puppy Handbook, a valuable resource
  • Ongoing Monthly Email Newsletter: Your AKC. This includes training tips and up-to-date information every dog owner needs to know. We want you and your puppy to continue learning beyond puppy classes.

AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Program

This will give your new pup a good foundation for basic obedience! Also, during the training, Trademark Kennels can teach you how to house train your dog in order for it to quit having accidents in the house! Additionally, we will train your pup to let you know when it has to go outside! During these sessions, We also answer any questions you have regarding your new pup or its’ training.

Puppy Orientation will include:

  • Name Recognition
  • Treat drive
  • “Sit,”  “Come,”  “Down,” and “Leave it”  commands   
  • Leash Walking 
  •  Crate Training
  • Teaching Pup to let YOU know he/she has to potty” 
  • “Leave it”

 

One puppy training session/consultation: $100.00

No, you cannot make up a class during your class sessions.  Your class lessons are set dates and times and additional classes are not offered.

Yes, you can make up if there is another session of classes within 6 weeks of your course, we consider this a drop in make up course.

 

We train using our 3 T’s of training:

What will you need:

  1. 6′ cotton (or leather) lead
  2. Slip collar ie. Chain (two fingers between collar and neck), nylon, or martingale style
  3. Soft and small training treats (extra yummy for your dog)
  4. And for 2nd lessons or more a 20′ cotton lead for recalls
  5. Current Shot records, which can be emailed prior, to include Distemper, Bordetella, & Rabies   Your dog also needs to be flea and parasite free.
  6. Water and travel bowl for your dog (changing a dogs water source can cause an upset tummy)
  7. Waste bags to pick up behind any accidents
  8. And a happy and healthy responsible pet owner–you! Be sure to wear comfortable shoes geared towards outdoor training (no flip flops please).
